MA politicians and gun prohibitionists continue to misinform the public about how “safe” MA is and how well MA gun laws work. These are two big lies. According to FBI violent crime statistics MA has by far the highest gun violence rate of any northeast state. The laws do nothing to stop violent criminals and only ensure that good people cannot defend themselves. The second part these same people are keeping from the public is that the rest of the country has seen a decades long decline in gun violence rates. During this time period many states have also passed constitutional carry laws recognizing the right of armed self defense. No license or government permission slip required. Remember this the next time someone tries to tell you how great MA gun laws are, and ask, if our laws are so great, why do we have a gun violence rate that is on average 2x-3x higher than any of our neighbor states? It’s time to #changetheref and demand that our elected officials focus on crime control instead of gun control, and restore our rights as the rest of the country has. WBUR Gun Control Propaganda Night - GOAL Responds This week, WBUR held a "gun violence" discussion forum that was, in fact nothing but an evening of pro gun control propaganda, full of mistruths, lies and an outrageous, disgusting statement from John Rosenthal of Stop Handgun Violence about hunting humans. If you care to know more about the evening, you can read this propaganda piece here, and another story here. Also, see this excellent summary of the evening here. See GOAL's video response below, including Rosenthal's disturbing comment. 2019 Big Bang Annual Raffle! The “Big Bang” Annual Raffle is back! Attend Holyoke Attend Haverhill #MACourtFails - Where Is The Concern For Public Safety From Our AG and Legislature? "I understand that that stuff can happen, you know. People get out. People do bad things. You can't control that, ultimately," -Attorney General Maura Healey, speaking in defense of Judge Feeley. The #MACourtFails campaign was started to raise awareness about our failing courts and criminal justice reform system, and how our elected officials would rather pass laws restricting what law abiding people do, than address the actual causations of “gun violence”. Worcester man arrested two times in just over two years for downtown shootings This #MACourtFails felon was arrested 10/29/16 for Downtown Worcester shooting arrested for same thing just over two years later, this time with gun w/defaced serial number. Once again, where's the concern for public safety displayed by #MALeg during ERPO? Link to story #MACourtFails felon with outstanding warrant arrested with Glock (loaded 22 round mag) & 1.8K pills. Note, #MALeg continues to push mag limit restrictions on ppl who follow law "because public safety". Link to story "Known gang member" arrested with gun OK, let's connect the dots here. We have "known gang members" with access to the public. They are so well known that they are referred to by name. One of them was arrested just two years ago for armed home invasion and various assault charges. He was arrested this time with a gun and drugs. Once again, where is the public safety concern displayed by #MALeg during ERPO? Why was he out, and how are our elected officials OK with "known gang members" or "armed career criminals" on our streets? #MACourtFails continues to endanger the good citizens of MA. We need to #ChangeTheRef and make sure people know what's going on here, that they continue to blame objects and people who follow the law, for the actions of people who don't. Link to story MACourtFails Archive! This page will make your head spin. We put a few months worth of #MACourtFails on an archived web page. Please feel free to share this with your legislators, and ask them where the concern for public safety is, that they all had during ERPO? MA "Gun Control" Success a False & Dangerous Narrative In general these laws have been, and likely will continue to be, a failure on every level. Even Boston Mayor Walsh has said that Massachusetts gun laws are ineffective. The idea that Massachusetts’ gun laws have been a success is a false and dangerous narrative. Dangerous because people are falsely being led to believe that the Commonwealth’s gun laws are keeping them safe. Because of that, citizens continue to suffer from increasing crime.
