Horizon Europe Matchmaking Event: Clusters 5 and 6
ERRIN together with the Research Council of Norway and the Norwegian EU networks FINN-EU, Horizon Sustainable Oslo Region and Horizon Mid-Norway are organising a tailored, virtual matchmaking event to assist public actors, research communities, businesses and NGOs in finding the right match for upcoming calls in Horizon Europe.
The four-day event, organised in two rounds, will focus on challenge-driven opportunities in clusters 5 and 6 in Horizon Europe – these are climate, energy and mobility and food, bioeconomy, natural resources, agriculture and environment. Special attention will be paid to calls and examples emphasising cross-sectoral cooperation. Save the dates for 19-20 and 26-27 May, registration will open soon! Webinar: Join the Be.CULTOUR Community
In the frame of Be.CULTOUR project, ERRIN is launching an open call to join the Be.CULTOUR Community. 12 local and regional representatives committed to shaping the future of cultural tourism will have the opportunity to benefit from a full-funded peer-learning scheme that following the pilot/mirror approach.
On Tuesday 13 April, from 14:00 – 16:15 CEST, the call and peer-learning programme will be presented in the webinar ‘Creating destinations after a global pandemic: The new competitive advantage of remote areas’. The webinar will include an inspirational speech by Emma Taveri, Destination Makers Chief Visionary Officer. Call for regional examples: Upcoming ICT WG meeting on DEP and TEFS
On 21 April, ERRIN’s ICT working group will be organising a meeting around the specific areas of the Digital Europe Programme: the ‘Common European Data Spaces’ and the ‘AI Testing and Experimentation Facilities’, as well as the relationship between the two.
Next to speakers from the European Commission’s DG Connect, who will explain the concepts and take us into the details of upcoming funding possibilities, we wish to give a platform to existing, successful examples of ongoing initiative and operations in this field within our member regions. EASME becomes EISMEA
EASME - the Executive Agency for SMEs - has transitioned into a new initiative called EISMEA - the European Innovation and SME Executive Agency. The new agency groups together the activities of the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the programmes related to small and medium-sized enterprises. EU4Health programme introduced
The Commission has introduced the EU4Health programme, which as a response to COVID-19 crisis is set to ensure health protection across the EU. The EU4Health programme entered into force as the largest EU health programme and will provide funding to EU countries, health organisations and NGOs.
The ERRIN Health Working Group is organising together with the ICT WG a Working Group meeting on 27 April, which will look at the EU4Health funding opportunities for the regional and local level. MIREU final event and launch of Raw Materials Taskforce
The final event of the MIREU project, in which ERRIN is a partner, will take place on 20 April from 12:00 - 16:00 CEST. During the event, partners will share all the essential points learned during the project. It will be a unique chance to hear real-life examples of the benefits of the new form of collaboration in Europe and globally. This new cooperation is the CoMMER - The Council of Mining and Metallurgy European Regions. Under ERRIN, the CoMMER will form part of an ERRIN Task Force on Raw Materials (https://errin.eu/raw-materials) , which will support the longevity of the initiative.
