Photos by Etienne Frossard Brooklyn Arts Council's ALIVE WITH ART benefit last night was a blast, thanks to YOU! Thank you to all who came out to support BAC at Alive With Art on Tuesday, May 15th at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. In the middle of the thunderstorm, we were a beacon of much-needed artsy celebration for all who attended! Congratulations again to honorees Sugar Hill Capital Partners and NYC Council Majority Leader Laurie A. Cumbo! It was a privilege to hear from Jay Solomon of Sugar Hill Capital Partners and Majority Leader Cumbo on their committed work to strengthen the cultural fabric of our communities. We were so lucky to have Brooklyn Raga Massive's Women's Raga Massive performing during our cocktail hour, along with DJ OP! and the one-and-only Toni Blackman serving as MC for the evening. Our silent auction was a success thanks to the enthusiasm of all of our guests! Every single item went home to some lucky attendees, including house seats to Hamilton, some gorgeous artwork, a David Bowie Is VIP experience package, and much more. We couldn't have done it without our sponsors: Thanks to media sponsor Hyperallergic; beverage sponsors Brooklyn Gin, Sixpoint Brewery, Q Mixers, and Brooklyn Roasting Company; and gift bag donors Fun Socks, Jalapa Jar, and Russ & Daughters. Thank you to all who attended! BAC is proud of the work we do for our borough, but we wouldn't be able to do with it our supporters. If you couldn't join us at the party, please consider making a donation to help BAC continue our service work for the artistic community throughout all of Brooklyn. Thank you, and see you next year!
